Dancing the Dragonfly Dance
Lately I have had some requests for some commissioned quilt projects and this is first one I completed. I was a little nervous as I began it. After all, someone was paying me for my work and I wanted it to turn out well. Once I got going, though, it was a lot of fun to do, and when it was done, I was dancing the Dragonfly Dance.
My client made the top using a preprinted fabric panel in the middle and added wide borders to the side and narrow borders at the top and bottom. The fabric panel features dragonflies, so I used that as my inspiration for the quilting.

In the wide green borders I did a leaf design with a swirl in the pink border. In the narrow borders at either end, I used a leaf and flower design.

Here I was able to get a picture of it all finished. My client very pleased with it, which made me a very happy quilter.
