One of the ladies in my quilt group put together this top and I thought the lion fabric was just too cute. I had the pleasure of doing the quilting.
There was enough of the lion fabric for another quilt and I was able to order some fabric to go with it. Lionhearted 2 is in the queue.

Crossroads
The blocks on this quilt, put together by my quilt group, remind me of crossroads, but the quilting was like a relaxing drive on a winding country road. It was a very enjoyable technique and did not require any marking. After I had decided how to do the quilting, I realized the backing fabric had a very similar motif--a fun, serendipitous moment.
This quilt went to a neighbor who was diagnosis with leukemia and is going through chemo treatments. Evidently the rooms where the the chemo treatments are done tend to be quite cold, so I hope this quilt will be very useful.
I have in mind to do this pattern with some floral fabrics I have for a feminine touch, and will try a similar quilting motif interspersed with some leaves. So many quilt ideas, so little time. :-)
